Steam on Linux screenshot location?

Where does GW2 save screenshots, but not with the "F12" Steam screenshot key, but with the built in PrintScreen key?

Well on Pop OS (Ubuntu) they are saved here:

~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1284210/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Guild Wars 2/Screens

Does your chat interface not say where it wrote the file whenever you press Print Screen?

For Linux, I would check the Documents folder in your home directory for the Guild Wars 2 user content (similar to how it is done in Windows). Maybe check your desktop (I think this is where the Mac client used), or possible /home/<your account name>/GW2. I am not running it on Linux currently to check.

 

If you are not having luck you may be better off sticking with the Steam screenshot capability.

It was in the folder @zinkz.7045 mentioned, except, it doesn't show the whole path, just "C:\users\steamuser\Documents\Guild Wars 2\Screens\file.jpg".

 

But since that folder doesn't exist by itself in linux, i asked where the rest of it is. The part before drive_c.
