Lanfear De Noir.9127
Two times yesterday the game crashed (or stopped) and had to restart the game as this message popped up. Code=7:11:3:202:101 The game client lost its connection to the server. Please wait a few minutes before restarting the client and trying again. (Code=7:11:3:202:101) I repaired the game using Steam, but it happened again. So I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it again as this happened twice and the repair did nothing to resolve the problem. Everything seemed to work well after this, until... This message popped up... Code+42:0:9001:4457:101 The game client is unable to gain access to the log- in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network. For additional support, please visit Http://support.guildwars2.com (Code+42:0:9001:4457:101) I haven't played the game since this last error, and I am reticent to do so. I have had absolutely NO problem with my anti-virus program in the past (Trend Micro) so I really don't think that this is the issue. And I am not on a campus either. I am in Australia and the telco I use is Telstra (there have been no problems running GW2 in the past). I have noticed lag where I have had none before. But the game seems to be lagging a lot now. The only thing different is the patch this week. The day of the release of 'What Lies Beneath' everything was fine. I noticed on the next day after the launch that there seemed to be a mini patch and had to wait for it to load before I could play (only took a couple of minutes). It was after this that these problems arose. Is there any way for this to be looked into? I have seen an old thread on this very issue and couldn't see a fix for it. Was there a clumsy mistake of code copying and pasting that has led to an old issue? But most of all... please... is there a solution? 1 1

Tsakhi.8124
Yeah, I'm running into the same problem. I had five or six consecutive disconnections and repaired the client; that worked for a bit and then we were back to the D/C's. I wonder what's causing it?
Lanfear De Noir.9127
After a lot of searching, I tried a few things and they didn't work... BUT... I then tried this from... https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/201863008-Repairing-the-Game-Client I cleaned up the temporary files in my game cache. 1. Open your windows explorer browser. 2. In the navigation bar, type %temp% to open your temporary folder. 3. Search for any folders that begin with “gw2cache-“ followed by a string of numbers. 4. Delete these folders. 5. Open Guild Wars 2. Once I did this, I no longer had any problems. SO FAR!
