Targeting with action cam

So have been messing around toggling different settings to try and get better target lock on while using action cam, while I have improved my situation by key binding a personal target key, without it on  i still sometimes seem to lose the target and the enemies bar may be on screen but hitting a skill that requires a active target will sometimes through me the red message that says something like you need a target to use that skill, One example was fighting the boss shadow behemoth i had it targeted health bar was on screen and yet as my skills that needed targets would not work until i exited action cam and clicked the boss then re-entered action cam skills worked. If anyone has any settings or channels that explain best settings for action cam in gw2 that would be super helpful and greatly appreciated.

Bosses have targeting points you need to aim the crosshairs at.

Make sure you have "Stop Autoattacking on Target Change" disabled, and "Promote Skill Target" and "Allow Skill Retargetting" enabled, which gives you some extra flexibility on targetting.
