Hello mates.

This would be interesting to see. Even while not everyone of the Game is also in Forums.

For myself it used to be PvP (quit it cause of reason) but also a bit Fractals/Strikes and Raids If i could do them. Also I enjoy to Run though the Map and doing stuff. Also the Story of the Game was the reason for me to Start the Game Back then.

Open world, story and WvW, in that order. I do instanced PvE when I want something from it, or sometimes to help out someone in my guild. I haven't done PvP in about 8 years and if I remember right I've done 9 matches in total.

I don't consider fishing or mount races seperate game modes, maybe they could be called mini games, but I doubt anyone would consider adventures to be a seperate game mode and they're more involved than either of those activities.

you forgot:

roller beetle races in verdant brink, falling from cliffs, afking in random weird places without minions, griefing players in public areas with ally targeted aas, soloing life sucking bat hps (and failing), doing the daily jumping puzzle the hard way, racing to the cache keepers in drizzlewood and killing them as fast as possible so that no one can get credit, teleporting out in ow when someone is trying to rez you, afking in ranked spvp (while telling them they're bots), creating a sylvari mushroom head and running around in basic armor, sorting your bank, summoning a portable black lion merchant right next to the black lion merchant, putting all your summon portable banker into the bank, putting aviator boxes in just the right place, and finally emoting in the middle of combat.

What percent of people that chose story actually do story more than once just for fun? I really doubt many.

That's fair. But I think it still counts, no? Especially since the poll wasn't limited to choosing just one option.

true. I know there are probably people who log on for 2 hours every few months to "catch up on story" and do nothing else, but are these players really valuable for arenanet in any way? Idk. I know thats not the point of the poll but just making me think.

Fair. I was mostly just defending the option. I enjoy playing the story, even if I only play through it once usually. Did the initial stories 3 times to get each pact factions points of view. Story isn't a main reason I log in, but it's still fun to play though now and then.

My favorite mode currently, is checking the store daily, waiting on those pink eyes to show up. I figure it will happen eventually, and I need to be ready when it does. I missed the first chance because I wasn’t playing the game, and I missed this recent chance because I was playing the game. Ugh.

Other than that, I like open world and fashion wars. I haven’t done enough world versus world to give an opinion on it, but being completely dominated by the other two teams really kind of sucks the fun out of it.

I haven’t done very many fractals because I have crippling social anxiety, making me keep to myself.

I do have 420 mastery points tho. 😜

if it makes you feel better theres no real need to talk in fractals.

I’ve done a few with a few different people, and that is very true. They usually ask if anyone needs an explanation and then they b-line it for wherever they’re going and I just follow along. On the plus side it gave me a chance to play my scourge healer. 😃

Are they really likely to be visiting the forum though?

For what it's worth I ticked the story option and I play it on all my permanent characters (11 so far). I've only got 1 who has completed the entire thing, but that's intentional because I want to space it out rather than doing every new release multiple times in a row, but the long-term plan is that they'll all go through the entire thing eventually. With temporary characters it depends on what I created them for, but years ago I did make sure I played every personal story instance at least once (which if I remember correctly takes 30 characters, but most of them only need to get to level 30).

I don’t know why, but for some reason, I never put two and two together that different races would have different personal stories.

I need to do something like that, making characters just for the story.

To be fair, playing sylvari during season 2 / HoT is a whole other vibe which is pretty cool.

I’ve done personal story through claw island on all 10 of my characters. I’ve done all level eighty story about three times through, different parts on different characters.

Then, of course, there’s running back through story instances to do achievements.

I know some people barely touch story, but it gets a lot of play from a different portion of the population.

When I say Story I am talking about vanillia, season 1, season 2, HoT, season 3, PoF, season 4, IBS, EOD, and wherever we are now. I specifically said "for fun" because I know going back for achievements is a thing.
