ACTIONS AGAINST IDLE PLAYERS

it is just normal to have idle players in rated games.

they dont like what they see in the first 10 seconds and go afk.

 

and it feels like reporting does nothing.

 

they do not fear any consequences whatsoever.

 

and it is wasting the time of the other 4 players.

 

this is unacceptable. get out the ban hammer and make people play the ranked games they signed up for.

 

would be much appreciated and very healthy for the pvp community.

There is no healthy community. There is no commitment by Anet to sPvP. There is nothing that is improving for many years. It is not AFK players who waste the time of others. It is Anet pretending there is a valid game mode you can play where there isn't any.

no, nothing happens with normal reports, you have a small chance getting them banned if you catch them on camera and open a support ticket with it

they dont have the staff to check all those reports, and believe it might be  a hell lot of reports,

 

plus the players dont help either "this dude diudnt play the way a iwanted"

it is sad that anet abandons pvp and wvw like they do

 

they have very very solid pvp foundations and really do not give a kitten about their pvp playerbase.

write a piece of code that 

in case of idle report during rated match

checks if reported player was in ranked match

if reported player used skills, movement, had contact to enemy player within a certain timeframe

if not

autoban for 3h or smth.

 

that way you cant idle report a playing player, you can but it wont do anything

 

you dont even need the staff to manage that crap behaviour, just some easy code

Afkers are the worst part about PvP.

Having bad players on your team... look, at least they're trying, and at least they can distract the enemy.

Having bad players in your squad/party in PvE... at least you can try to teach them, or do a vote kick if they aren't responding.

But having someone just intentionally refuse to interact with anyone else in a closed arena, to purposely grief 9 other players? How is this not a bannable offence?

Can you imagine the riots if other players could just reduce your damage and health by 20% in OW without even interacting with the game?

If only there was a solution to this problem, like making it so getting rewarded for playing ranked wasn't entirely dependent on winning the entire game as a team and personal performance meant something.
