I have two machines, and I want to run the game on my older one, just to split up some resources, but the W7 one just wont install. completely fresh install, firewall is allowing it, im running it as admin, temp files are cleared, plenty of space exists, but the installer just will not download anything. it stalls immediately on "downloading update 0kb/0kb" and goes to "errors detected, retrying" but never advances. Healix.5819 Posted March 19, 2023 Share Posted March 19, 2023 The installer (Gw2Setup-64.exe) will download Gw2-64.exe to the %temp% folder and run from there. Some security software doesn't like that and will block it. Note if you're using an old version of the 32-bit installer (Gw2Setup.exe), it'll fail since the URL no longer exists. Instead of using the installer, simply copy Gw2-64.exe from the other computer and place it wherever you want to install it (alternatively, here's Gw2-64.exe direct from the patch server).
