A very noob question about ascended gear

Hello everyone,

 

I just got a ring from PvP that was ascended but the stats it has doesn't really fit into my soulbeast ranger.

 

What is the best thing to do with the ring?

 

Salvage it, mystic forge it or keep it ?

Might you roll other characters in future, or experiment with different builds on your ranger? If so, it may be worth keeping. Depends on whether your bank space is under pressure.

 

If you do salvage it, make sure you use an ascended salvage kit. And worth attuning the ring beforehand for extra salvage.

If you go on to do fractals, you'll soon be swimming in ascended rings.

Having the right stats for your build is more important than having the highest tier, so if it's not right for you there's no point using it.

If you've got the space and might make other characters or change your build it's worth keeping, if not the best thing to do is salvage it with an ascended salvage kit.

Yes. Thats my rule for trinkets. Even if I make a mistake, its not hard to get another one. For me "ring" just means "a couple of winterberries runs".
