Even with only one dodge the Mirage is able to keep Mirage Cloak up enough to be one of the best solo classes and provide good damage and boons. 1

I don't know where this is coming off of...but this is not the case for competitive play. In PvE it has 2 dodges so your post in response to mine is irrelevant. 4

I only have briefly used it but it was giving me two dodges. I assumed that was either a bug or if it went down to one dodge after I got more than one unlocked trait. I didn't realize the one dodge is just a PVP only change. I haven't gotten as good at PVP to really know how the classes compare. Most of my experience and interests have been PVE so far. This is a whole can of worms for this forum. Even if you had an example of a one dodge build that does work in PvP, sword/pistol for example it won't be meta enough to warrent any discussion without triggering those that want the one dodge nerf removed. I just died so quickly always that I couldn't clear any content. Virt has an easier time with sword/sword set up. I really enjoy it but comes with a learning curve as a defensive rotation. Torch has always been clutch because of the stealth. But you learn to live with out it.
Burnfall.9573
I agree with Anet nerf. In fact; I would not allow Mesmer Profession clones to grant anything else beside damage and confusion. In fact, with Chaos Vortex; which goes against Mesmer Profession identity and its role, What does Torment Condition, Bleeding Conditions, Might Boons and Boons... has anything to do with Mesmer Profession aside from Confusion Conditions? https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chaos_Vortex Why not instead, replace them with Crippling Conditions; which is part of Mesmer Profession - Illusion/Confusion skills? https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Illusion_Magic Crippling Anguish https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Crippling_Anguish -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Torment Condition - Necromancer Profession https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Soul_Tormentor Bleeding Condition - Warrior Profession, Necromancer Profession and Ranger Profession https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Bleeding Boon - Elementalist Profession, Healer- Role (Guardian Profession), https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Healer's_Boon etc.... https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Energy_Boon -------------------------------------------------------- Please! rework Chaos Vortex with other skills, designs, traits and mechanics, runes, sigils etc...for the Mesmer Profession - Assign them to their proper Profession roles - Thank You! Infusion.7149
What you wrote makes zero sense in the current context of mesmer. Scepter outputs torment and so does axe on mirage. Maim the disillusioned has also existed since 2014 and that also outputs torment. Now only torch inflicts burning on mesmer. Staff used to output burning and I believe scepter used to output confusion on auto which was extremely underwhelming (see https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ether_Bolt). If anything Chaos Vortex should apply short duration burning if not on Phantasmal Warlock to give it some PvE burst as one stack of bleeding is quite negligible. As long Anet continues to label this Profession as Mesmer Profession, than it makes sense. --Conditions plays important roles to their respected Professions including being connected to their identity-- A Necromancer Profession can not summon Meteor with fireball...just because it has access to burning conditions. Example; A Police Officer does not drive a fire truck just because it is an law enforcement. Anet Has Successfully Eliminated Class/Profession Diversity -This is why I Blame Anet for allowing Profession roles with their identities to be shared with every Professions roles with their idenitities- Every Professions should bring their roles with their identities to the game. An to contribute their skills and talent to each Professions...in to the game. To manage the outcome in each of their different ways The Mockery of Professions Roles With Their Identities...Being Like Everyone Else....IS Very Strong! That IS Sad!! I think for most of us who focus on the one dodge issue. Its not so much that we specifically want it just removed. (that would be the best option, sure). What I want and have wanted since it happened was/is to have the same number of dodges when I move from pvp/wvw to pve onthe same spec. Really I want that for every spec in the game. Not having that is bad continuity and makes for poor gameplay. That is why I stick to it and dont care about any other Mesmer or really gw topic, other than that at this point. Its a totally unique bias driven issue that could just as easily be fixed by giving it one dodge in all game modes. =p
