Bananaaaaaaa.7035
First, you need to be online. That's the biggest drawback Second, very few people actually figure out there is a guild recruitment tab Third, there is no "ctrl+f"-like research tool. Imagine if all the guilds advertised there O.o!
Stark.1350
What Banana said. I don't think a lot of people know it exists. People check different places too. I also have an ad up on reddit.

Willtyat.7629
So where do I go to find guilds? I know there is this forum but scrolling through post, some of them years old, doesn't seem to be efficient. I fear everyone's going to say Discord as Discord and I are not friends.
HnRkLnXqZ.1870
On the EU servers, the Looking for Guild LFG tab is frequently used. Where to find a guild:Guildex  reddit GW2 guild-recruitmentGW2 Mists These pages share in common that you can check which adverts/entries have been recently edited/added. Same as with this forum. So as long as you are searching within the first pages, you will only find active guilds. You can also look for a guild ingame. Either by actively asking in map-chat or responding to guild-advertisements in map-chat. Recruiters who use this method usually visit active maps like cities (all races + LA), hubs (Eye of the North and Arborstone) as well as maps with active/populated meta-activity such as Dragonfall, Drizzlewood Coast, Bjora Marches, Sparkfly Fen, ... etc. You can use the "/wiki et" chat command ingame and just travel from event to event. You will find all kinds of advertisements. And if you ask for a guild, you will get people pming you. Just keep in mind to have an idea what you are looking for: - what content you prefer - what online-times you have - average age - special rules like active representation or participation in certain events
