It's really not an issue.  You're still tied to dodging and mirage mirrors so it's not entirely true to say it can be spammed.  It's more like thief pistol 4.

This would be true if vigor, energy, and dodge food didn’t exist. It’s definitely something that shouldn’t have been put in competitive modes at least. I don’t see a world where a 1200 range daze that can cast up to 4 times ( you + 3 clones) or a melee daze that removes boons not to mention the boon removal from domination will be balanced.

Mesmer is one of the professions with least amount of vigor access.
Energy and dodge food exist for everyone not only mesmers.
Dagger apart from the ambush is garbage.

No, it's worse because a Thief has to use its resources to spam Headshot which means it cannot attack very well at the same time, unlike Mirage. And yes, it is spammable, I got to experience it firsthand.

And you still have quite a bit, Shatter, Heal, and Chaos GM trait. More than enough especially with food. Almost forgot about runes.

So it needs a rework.

If the player is using chaos you have nothing to be afraid of.
No, you don't have 3x daze but you can dodge it! 3/4 + 1/4 for MC is plenty of time to dodge.
It needs a rework since EoD beta, point is let'em daze you, who the kitten cares, dagger doesn't do any damage.

It’s actually not an issue.   I doubt you even play Mesmer OP.   If you had, you would know that for someone to spam the sword ambush puts you right next to your target.   With the removal of cc immune off dodge puts the mesmers in a kitten position not to mention being attacked during the animation can kill your right away.   The animation on any Mesmer leap is complete kitten and hardly, like 50% of the time actual lands by your target and hits.   Like most Mesmer gimmicks if you actually  pay attention while playing its very easy to counter by just using stab, prot, and more immun to dmg sources than the Mesmer will ever have.   For a Mesmer to go full power and pull off chain daze for a kill leaves you little to no traits for sustain.   Was the mantra nerf not enough for you?   Coping is hard for some.   It will be okay.   So that leaves us at diversion with an almost 40second cd, less with MoD and that’s if you play your rotation just right for the cd.   Pistol buff did little to improve its function.   And good luck on phantasms stun and IH clones as it’s incredibly easy to just kite and move away two inches.    Like so much can happen for a daze/stun to not hit the target because of large amounts of boon uptime.

Also the build in question is at best a dueling spec.   There is too much cc and aoe spam for this build to dominate pvp and in wvw the build is mostly unless in anything above 5v5.   So…. What is the actual issue you have, other than on paper it seems to have a ton of daze?   Mind you , it does 0 dmg.

I thought he was talking about the new dagger ambush.
If its about sword ambush is even worse. Sw ambush rarely connects, imagine crying about a skill that's bugged since release.

Fr, It’sa niche build.   Meme at its best vs low skill players.   Either way dps is coming from gs and not sword and or dagger.   From my testing during the beta(maybe 10hrs?), dagger lacked the dps to actually one shot anyone.   Was fun but I couldn’t crank the dps out to make it viable.

Add Ranger Sword Ambush to that. Seems to be something inherit to Leaps. 

They muct have something built in so a moving player don't get hit.
