stormemperor.3745
Good old days where you could stack wvw/pvp potions and use 80x per update to get instant loots. Its gone.

Some players prefer rails that give direction to their in-game activities, but i am playing GW2 because it didn't really have things like that. But now it changes more and more from "play how you like" into "play the way we tell you to play". Which wouldn't be okay even if the devs had the same sense of fun that i do - which they seemingly don't. That was one day and then that daily was removed. Your choice of an example is so bad, that it's borderline lying. 1

You probably missed 2 days with Spirit Vestibule and one day with Vasburg armory then? 3
DarcShriek.5829
Frankly, I didn't care. I see what my options are and do what I like. I get tons of AA. Weeklies always seem pretty easy and the specials we're too. I've gotten a lot of free items off the daily system that there's no way you could convince me the old way was better. I don't even always do them. I do them when I feel like it. The points add up extremely fast. Is the new system perfect, no. Is it the worst thing since WWII? no. I think the people that think the old way was better are wrong. Most of the rewards I got from the old system were basically just thrown away because they were useless. I maintain that the current system is way more rewarding than the old and I like it. I think too many people on these forums have intentionally blinded themselves simply because they don't like change. I don't think anyone is arguing the rewards are less now than before, it's mostly about the narrower path we now have to tread to get there. Change can be good, but how far can choices be narrowed before they run afoul of their original design philosophy as put forth by Colin Johanson: "It’s extremely important that we stay true to our philosophy that you should be able to play Guild Wars 2 the way you want to play the game in order to reach the most powerful rewards."

Dude, it makes a MUCH MORE REWARDING dailiy much easier. I'd take 4 of 5 with this reward over 100 with the old reward, and I believe most people would as well. That 2 gold and 3 spirit shards meant very little to me. The fact that you want all the choice and the better rewards is fine. The fact that you have an improvement and won't acknowelge it, because the whole system has changed is not. The system HAS changed. Like pretty much every system in the game has evolved after launch. Less logging in rewards (which is good for the game) and more playing rewarsd. Sorry you can't pick the 3 easiest options and get 2 free gold. This is better for most of us I'd imagine. YMMV.
