Relic of the Daredevil lmaooo

A guaranteed crit after dodging while in combat or evading an attack on a 1s cooldown - from a roamers/competitive perspective this seems a little bit too crazy.

For example: The normal S/D kitten Daredevil build has three dodges on default, basically four with Signet of Agility. I have access to at least two evades from the weapon set (Flanking Strike and Disabling Shot) and three additional evades in form of Roll for Initiative, Withdraw and Daggerstorm. I'm granted Vigor on Bountiful Theft which is +50% Endurance Reg for 10s every 17s (Lead Attacks reduces the charge time of Steal), so the next dodge/crit is always close. After some testing in the past couple of hours it's fair to say I'm close to perma critting in combat - maybe it's ez to perma crit if I learn to play around the effect and stop to use Auto Attacks. Use Walk instead of Marauders and ... cheese it? The bottom line is that I replaced all +Precision stats for an additional chunk of +Ferocity and +Vitality and still get a better outcome since crits are (more or less) guaranteed. In other words: They gave me more damage and health without a significant tradeoff. Thank you balance bois 💖

C'mon, you notice there is a slight difference between a crit after dodge and a crit after dodge or evade? The meta S/D Daredevil build gives five additional sources for crits & you can max some more useful stats.

^ There is a distinction here. On dodge mechanics don't trigger on evades unless the specifically say so.

It was, but being decoupled from a power+toughness rune makes it automatically better, and now it seems like a legit consideration. At least on paper.

Yeah, the last part is exactly my point. I know it's niche and not easy to pull off but it's possbile to drop Precision and focus on other stats like Power, Ferocity and Vitality if crits are that predictable. They even stack which means for example if you dodge twice in a row during combat your next two hits will deal critical damage. What the first responder doesn't know since he's sitting in forums 24/7 instead of learning or playing the game he's sweating about is that the Relic effect is a buffed version of the Daredevil Rune. While both give a guaranteed critical hit if you dodge during combat, the Relic gives additional crits if you evade an attack from any other source. The Standard S/D Daredevil build (Deadly Arts, Trickery) has five additional sources and two of them (Flanking Strike and Disabling Shot) are only tied to initiative so you can use them more often than your utility skills.

Skills like dance of daggers provides evades and any traits as well

Traits that reference "when you evade" requires enemy atks to be evaded by Traits or skill

Traits that reference " when you dodge an attack" require you to have an incoming atk which you use your endurance for

Traits that reference " when you dodge" trigger every time you dodge whether you actually avoid an atk.

Great. You just exposed the new secret. Now anet will nerf the heck out of the class to compensate.  Note, I said class and not relic because that’s how anet rolls.
