SlothPowah.1072
Title. I burnt all of my participation trying to get this done. I seriously doubt anyone who enjoys WvW enough to select it as their Wizard's Vault gamemode wants to do jumping puzzles instead of fighting players or PPT. I'm glad that the weekly lets you skip 2 of them, but now I'm leaving Astral Acclaim on the table. This sucks. 12 1
skydelirious.4185
True, also there are some guilds like JP - 'Killing you in obsidian sanctum' where they camp the spots and can make you rage xD
Solvar.7953
The new daily system is screwed up in many ways, and this is another example. I did obsidian sanctum a while back for dusk or some other precursor I think. Doing the entire JP wasn't required, but by the time I got to the point I needed, I'd burned up my participation so I figured I'd might as well complete it. It is a long puzzle, but fortunately, there were not any enemies there trying to kill me right before the end - the few enemies I saw were respectful (me of them, them of me). Putting obsidian sanctum in seems to be a recipe for a group to be mostly through the puzzle and kill anyone that shows up - this normally wouldn't happen because people seldom did the puzzle, but for this week at least, you can probably pick of a decent number of targets. It seems like Anet didn't even think much about what they put into the new daily system and the impact it would have.

jason.1083
On one hand I understand, especially on the other players camping the puzzle and killing you. On the other hand I actually like Obsidian Sanctum and I can complete it off the top of my head before my participation starts going down (granted no resistance) , so I don't resonate with you on that part. quake.9023
this is spot on, agreed. anyone who plays even a little wvw would not even think of this let alone be the final result of decision making....geez

Cyninja.2954
I guess this is a matter of very old school WvWers versus more recent ones. I have very fond memories of getting jumped or jumping others in the OS. Back in the day OS had some pretty cool fights and getting it done was almost always interesting, if only about the "how will it go this time" aspect. Granted, there was no participation system in place and rewards from it which might have soured the experience. Getting that sweet sweet loot is more important today than potentially fun experiences, even in competitive modes. 🤷♂️ Edited August 24 by Cyninja.2954 2
