Question about Golden Fractal Relic

So i'm a returning player, and i'm pretty new to fractal. Last time I played was over 2 years ago. So i'm a fractal noob.I thought I could use 4 fractal golden relics to create a random gold fractal weapon, as the item says "use 4 to create a random gold fractal weapon" .. So I bought 4 and soon found out that wasn't true. Had I read the remaining text "use 10 to upgrade a fractal weapon to gold" I would probably had figured that wasn't the case :P But for a newish player to fractals who have no idea of the worth of the items, I find that text a bit confusing. Can someone tell me the recipe for the random gold weapon please :P ?

If it was a question, I think you can use an option to indicate it was answered. Or, perhaps, edit the title. It's also helpful to leave questions and answers, so that others can find the solutions.
