I totally get it. It more frustrating when they have old code on top of new. Often times I wish they redid some these things do some QoL stuff. ❤️

Not even visual bugs are a priority, the engineer has a bug in shield skill 4 that has lasted for more than 3 years and still not fixed... I think they play roulette with the countless bugs present in the game and only fix the ones they want.

This is not just a small bug. It is stopping progress. I am not in the bigeest rush, as I still have many maps left before another completion, but it still baffles me that this hasn't been adressed.

This hero challenge being bugged is blocking me from 100% world completion and getting some gifts of exploration I need for the new legendary armor achievement as well as needing them to get another Legendary weapon. So this HP being bugged is literally blocking MULTIPLE things from being completed.

I was quite surprised to not be able to find this topic already. Since last patch (or at least the past few days as I have been checking periodically) the hero point challenge in Iron Marches at The Cauldron of Searing is not able to be interacted with, preventing map completion for gifts of exploration. I submitted a bug report in game as well when I first found out at the location a few days ago.  I'm hoping this will get fixed soon as I have already completed most of the rest of Tyria maps.

You can still finish map completion by buying the HP in WvW at the Heroics-Notary

If it is your last one open in core tyria 1 Testimony of heroics (And getting the GoB should give you some via Skirmish Chests, i.e. you will get one from the skirmish reward track latestly after 25min in WvW at participation 3+) will be sufficient. If you have other HPs open as well, it will finish an open one at random.

Tried this and had no success, I'm at 188/189 HP, spent 20 of them and got the points but not the completion so.. still stuck!

I would have left a poi or so open to be done afterwards, bur did you went back to the map to trigger the completion check? I remember that in cities I got map completion not in an instance doing the last poi, but when I went back to the map.

Must also be the same char and the correct region (core, hot, PoF, EoD).

Yea, that isn't working because the WvW testimonies always only do up to 188/189.  It's some old bug supposedly due to the addition of the Krait node in a home instance.

Most PvE players don't notice it because they do open world to get the hero challenges and don't play WvW.  xD

I had heard it only goes to 188/189 which is the reason I haven't bothered with any Scrolls.

Can't decide between leaving a bunch of Hero Points unclaimed so I can grind for a bunch of Scrolls giving me a higher chance of getting the one I need, vs leaving only 2 HPs unclaimed which would only need one Scroll but only getting a 50/50 chance it's the one I want.

Now to find out the only reason I have to make such a stupid decision is because of another kittening bug

Despite already having gone through a whole bunch of them, I've been sitting on 188/189 for a week and got bored so went to the WvW vendor again and got more Notarized_Scroll_of_Central_Tyrian_Heroics thinking "eh might as well spend more of these bloody things, can't hurt!".

I have no idea how many I bought+used but IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!!! I now have crafted my first legendary weapon.

No idea why it didn't work before but.. if you're stuck give it a shot. Be ready to use up a whole bunch of them, you might just get lucky!

It's random which one ends up being missing because that method unlocks them randomly.  The challenge unlocks from WvW include challenges in WvW maps that don't count towards map completion.  So there's still a single hero challenge somewhere, probably in a WvW map, that is still incomplete for you.  It's also confusing because when you unlock one of the WvW map challenges, there's no name that pops up on the side scrolling list above the mini-map.
