phalaris.5134
So different in size when contested? Most camps in Desert Borderland are fairly small, and some in Alpine Borderlands too but then there are massive grounds to cover at some camps which make them so annoying to flip? Intended? Why not uniform the actual circle in size? Thanks for any insights in that matter.
DanAlcedo.3281
Is there a single camp you can't LoS and kill all npcs in less then 5 seconds? Why would the size of the camp matter when flipping?

Dawdler.8521
Bigger is better. Capping circles that are the size of your average AoE lead to horrible gameplay - just look at sPvP for that, the best maps have a larger central point where actual fights occur instead of someone facetanking the entirety of the circle. When they are large enough to have manouvering room both attackers and defenders actually have to consider the tactical situation. Its the desert camps that are "wrong" IMO but most of the fights are naturally smaller scale there too. 1

Mostly because, you either run around in a Zerg where this isn't a problem. Or you are solo and flipping a camp against a runner you can't kill, is not worth the time. Especially, if they are running around like chickens, there is back up coming anyway. I always just Los the entire camp, kill them in one burst then, when I tick, 2 scenarios can happen. A. I get jumped out of nowhere and I'm dead anyway. B. I see the guy coming and decide if it's a build I can kill. If not = port to spawn.
Elricht Kaltwind.8796
If there's anything this game needs less of, it's sacrificing flavour for uniformity, sameness, consistency.

Short answer will have to go with is different map designers more than anything like active thought in it. Take the ABLs they are the same because they are the same. EBG needs to fit each on per location and DBL and EoTM are just different designs.
