Sickan.6587
The Issue: There is a setting for Action Cam Mode name "Disable Action Cam" . The description is "Hold to temporary disable action-camera mode" . With this name and description it would be expected that the only thing that this would do is DISABLE the Action Cam Mode. But the reality is that it TOGGLE the Action Cam Mode. Example: When holding the button assigned to the setting when in Action Cam Mode you get to use the Mouse Mode as intended, but when you a dialog pops up and the Action Cam Mode naturally shift to the Mouse Mode the button will instead make you go into the Action Cam Mode Example Steam Deck: The steam deck has a trackpad with lots of customizations. One of these customization is that you can assign a button to it whenever you rest a finger on the trackpad. This is great as the stick would be used for the Action Cam Mode and the trackpad for the Mouse Mode without any extra button press to permanent disable Action Cam Mode. But given that the options is a TOGGLE instead of a DISABLE the consequence is that when the a dialog option pops up in Action Cam Mode, the trackpad will instead make the game enter the Action Cam Mode instead of staying in Mouse Mode Suggested Solution: The solution that would be most natural for me would be to have these options: (Permanently) Toggle Action Cam Mode (Permanently) Enable Action Cam Mode (Permanently) Disable Action Cam Mode Temporarily Toggle Action Cam Mode (the todays "Disable Action Cam") Temporarily Enable Action Cam Mode Temporarily Disable Action Cam Mode With these settings the customization the Steam Deck layout would have so many good options for setting up key bindings in a more "natural" way Edited October 3, 2023 by Sickan.6587
