Launcher claiming to have lost login email and/or password

Observed:

Since about 2 weeks the Launcher is constantly showing the password and/or the account name fields as empty.
Closing the Launcher and opening it again almost always fixes this and one can login with stored credentials.

 

Excpected:

The Launcher should "remember" and show "remembered" status for Account name and Password as it used to and not keep the fields empty randomly even tho the data is stored.

I had this happen a few times in the past months and it has always been after the previous shutdown was not smooth. Like, the game crashed or some process stayed running after shutdown. Any chance that has been the case here?

This bug has always been around, it just used to be extremely rare. When they upgraded CoherentUI (July 2022), it became a more common problem. When they switched to CEF (April 2023), it was better for some and worse for others. I see it happen roughly once a month. The same problem applies to -autologin, which failed so often for me I stopped using it.

Yep, I had this for about 6 months straight around 2022. Took between 1-25 restarts of the client to get the information to be filled-in again (for that session). It was extremely annoying, but like Healix above said it cleared up (for me) in April 2023. Nowadays it only happens about one a month for me as well. When it happens I just closed the client, wait 5 minutes, and launch it again, and it is usually fixed.

That's quite interesting. I only have this happen since about 2 weeks, never noticed it before that. So most likely I am out of luck for a fix for this. Thanks all. 🙂

I can not confirm that for me. Game closes as expected. I have Process Explorer running all the time (shows active processes similar to Task Manager) and it's only listed during gaming and finishes as expected upon closing the game.
