Can't Dye Mounts

I'm not sure if this is a bug, intentional or an oversight.

I have an ALT-Account that has SOTO expansion only. Currently 60 masteries on it so far.

I just finished acquiring the Skyscale on this account and I tried to change the Dye on it, however the mount option is not shown under the DYE tab as described below in the linked image.

Am I missing something?

Likely only opened when PoF Mount Masteries are available.  May be changed in the future...or not.  🤷‍♂️

I would think it has to be a bug that needs to be fixed. SotO players should have just as much a right to dye their mounts as anyone. Heck, you get a raptor at level 10 even if the account only has HoT, so those people should be able to dye as well.

Has anyone found a workaround for this?

I feel kinda scammed that I can't dye the skin I just bought for my Skyscale on SotO because I don't own PoF...

Not that I have heard. I don't think ANet even addressed whether this is intended. I don't want to believe it is, but silence breeds speculation.

I don't want to add to the festival launch day workload, but with a sale going on and people interested in buying skins, maybe someone can forward the question up the line and ask whether it is meant to be this way (and, if so, why only PoF accounts can dye mounts)?
