TheTrinian.3291
With the assumption that blighter's boon will be the GM trait on the reaper traitline then that means losing out on reapers onslaught which is perma quickness (with 0 boon duration) and 20% crit damage (plus the occasional recharge reduction). For those not in the loop, blighter's boon will restore 1% life force and heal like 75 health when a boon is applied at any time (shroud or not) with no ICD. Here's some of my initial builds that are aimed to have perma shroud / perma quickness / 100% crit chance. (also my builds have relic of the herald, keep in mind it will change to 250 concentration at full stacks and not require other players). I also didn't include utilities because they don't work in shroud and it's up to each player what they want to do while out of shroud. I personally pop rise, spectral armor, spectral walk and chilled to bone in succession immediately out of shroud in combat and usually have full life force before shroud is recharged. Diviner's / Assassins (power focused) http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PSQAYOyWtNNA-DSRYbBDHFszIMFQESAF/MAAA-e or Celestial (balanced) http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PSQAYOyW9NPA-DyIY1og/MSQBEmEQsPDAA-e or Ritualist? (Some sort of shroud immortal ...condition? whatever?) http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PSQAYOuW9NNA-DSJYyRB/ZkgCIMJgYfGAAA-e I'm not sure if all the sacrifices for perma shroud is going to be better or not than normal power reaper builds that can use traits like soul barbs effectively, but that's why I am curious to see if anyone has any better ideas. XECOR.2814
Just use normal dps power reaper build with blighter boon in reaper gm and Fear of Death in soul reaping should be enough. If you want to go overboard you can use something like this: http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?PSgAEZlJwcYKsDWJOSXtNNA-DyQYhoi8fHKwZEoKICpgMvFEgxxYPQaaowZEoC-e Condi reaper builds don't work because you have to take Deathly Chill otherwise its just a noodle(power is the same tbh). Just use this build but you will make your dps much scuffed compared to the benchmarks, if you don't care about that, then it should be ok. TheTrinian.3291
For organized group play I am with that build, solo/open world I could live without the quickness but I don't like only 75% crit chance with 10 seconds of fury out of shroud and 0 possible fury uptime from inside shroud (which we plan to use for more than 15 seconds) that alone costs the build around 18% damage (1/4 hits will not critically hit). Even substituting dread only gives 50% guaranteed uptime with 25% quickness uptime (18% damage loss / 2 = 9% remaining loss from fury) at the cost of 10% average damage boost from close to death gives a net -1% DPS gain from dread over close to death in a solo or no boonshare group play. The 25% quickness uptime might give 5-10% more damage in favor of dread though and if getting kills could gain 100% quickness and fury uptime, but that cannot be maintained once the trash is cleared and only the champion/boss is left. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PSQAYOyWtNNA-DSRYbRBAH+xIcCEpAU/MglRdtAA-e This build would achieve 16% more damage assuming no outside source of fury and quickness for either build. As for life force per second against a single target, XECOR's build will get 24% life force over 5 seconds of autoattacking (assuming 1 target) and the one I made above will gain 27.8% life force over 5 seconds but scaling better for 2 or 3 targets due to sigil of strength not triggering on a cleave unlike chilling victory or life reap or reapers might (life reap and reapers might are also enhanced by quickness) Both the builds do break the 20% life force gain over 5 seconds which means that if not taking damage or gaining a something like a barrier (to negate damage) shroud can be indefinite without any other skills or cleaving needed or the target to be under 50% health. And once again I am comparing them in general, solo or unorganized play where no outside boons are being provided. porkchopMCgee.6193
Mabons relic Spite traitlines + blighters boon plus weapon signs to give might on swap/hit +shout that breaks stun and might=gg any mode
Lan Deathrider.5910
I used BB before on Reaper just fine. I used celerity and rage sigils to make up for the quickness loss. I would still do that even after this change, possibly with Dread from spite.

Take dread on my build and Strawberry Cilantro Cheesecake and keep the same gear for full uptime on quickness, fury, might in open world too. Here is the build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PSgAEZlJwcYKsDWJOyWtNNA-DyQYhoi8fHKwZEoKICpgMvFEgxxYPQaaCxZEoC-e Do not use diviner gear. Reaper don't need it with dread, because shroud3 recharges extremely fast with each mob death. When fighting mobs the fear of death alone with dread can make reaper perma shroud most of the time, blighters boon and everything else is just extra in case you meet strong boss monster. The food will also give you tons of might. You dont have to worry about shroud dropping. Still if you need more might from food you can take ghost pepper poppers.
