3 elite speccs. 

4 expansions after core game. 

Yet thief can only fulfill the same role in spvp. D/P is our power build without alternatives, every build uses shortbow. 

Your almost expected entirely to be a multi classer choosing a Thief. The moment your team has any other +1 / decapper present thief gotta swap characters to not ruin team comp. 

Unlike so many other classes that can fit multiple roles by utilising build options. 

Why is Daredevil still just "what core was susposed to be". 

Spectres basically down to tbe same role just a condi variant. 

We get it, u dont like stealth and nuke the class the moment at the slightest lip quiver about it, but maybe give us something else if ur gonna persist on this route so we have atleast a alternative.

Yeah thief is great at its one role which guarantees its meta most seasons. Themes cool and ini is unique, unfortunately the unique-Ness of ini is overshadowed by its inate spamming nature which personally imo makes its playstyle boring quickly, no matter the weapon kit its spam most damaging skill while rest are to be used situationally. U really have to enjoy having situational awareness and active defenses over mechanical and visual veriety to not get bored on thief quick.  Thief or rogue is most games including dnd are pretty one dimension when comes to combat playstyles so can't fault anet to much in that regard as seems like they tried to switch things up with specter. I always ran rogues but have long swapped to rangers in most instances as they still have a lil rogue'ishness but far more veriety within the archetype. Honestly if u love playing thief still thsts awsome but if not maybe try willbender or anything that gives u similar vibes as I doubt after all these years thief will ever change much.

People will confused react but be the first one on any page about the new thief build that isn't primarily standing on empty points, arguing about how it's unfair. It's no longer about thief being playable in some specific way that people are reluctant to define (because they just want to see less thieves, not 'fairer' ones)

Give in and play degenerate.
