Skill Lag getting worse and worse

You must mean melee assist.  It's faked body collision.  Completely on the client-side and does nothing really other than cripple yourself.  Your targets can still collide with you and then you're screwed as you try to turn around to face them.

sooo, you are telling me, that out of our not even full squad (~30 ppl -ish), that live all over the place in germany and austria, every single ISP is bad, everyone is far away from the datacenter (which literally is in Frankfurt, Germany, aka at maximum 700km assuming the longest driving distance possible when staying within germany);

and on that note: 700km is barely noticable. On average, you get ~3 microseconds of latency per kilometer, so from connection alone you´ll have on average 2100 microseconds (21 milliseconds) as latency within germany; and everyone has buffer-bloat issues?!? 

sorry to say, but that sounds incredibly unrealistic. all of that may be issues that may be true if a single player has such a problem, but with entire squads having the same thing (we also got notice from full squads and other maps as well), sorry but at that point, it´s safe to say that it´s a server-sided issue

People that instantly blame Anet (Amazon servers) should understand there are multiple causes of skill lag and a lot of the time it isn't Anet/Amazon causing it. For instance, I almost never experience skill lag. If the servers are actually the issue, everyone on those servers should experience it, right? But usually they don't (sometimes, rarely, it really is the servers and THEN everyone sees it).

Before upgrading my PC, I used to get skill lag when the CPU was reaching 100% during big fights. That was my PC. So there are multiple causes including CPU, ISP/geographic location relative to game servers, and finally the game servers themselves.

Oh god. No the whole server won't lag at the same time. Only the people in the area where big fights happen (inside a keep for example). It's been a common things for years, and getting worse recently : your 50 ppl squad fights another 50 ppl squad on reset, all good, then the squad from the 3rd server gets nearby (they don't even need to join the fight, just stand at a certain distance) and the 2 fighting squads start having huge skill-lag. You can even guess if another group is about to join the fight, and potentially push you by surprise, due to that.
Nowadays you don't even need a 3rd squad, a hundred players fighting in a keep is enough.

You can argue all you want, but if literally a hundred players, all with different specs/location/internet provider get the same issue at the same time it's safe to say upgrading your CPU won't fix it ^^

No, I'm not. But: almost the entire cables in Germany are owned and maintained by Telekom. Other providers exist, but they also only use the infrastructure of Telekom, very rarely do they have their own cables,and those are limited to extremely small local areas. So even if you are a customer of vodafone, m-net or whatever, the cables are still Telekom.

People with massive lag, fps drops and desync, are u  with windows 10 or 11 and nvidia and intel?

I cant play this game on win10 for example with a 6700k even oc'ed, becomes a lagfest (actually have no issue with gw2 on a server ._. game becomes super mega fluid even on wvw), guess play on my game rig is no longer viable :D /irony

Seams it can be some driver towards certain hardware????

Pretty much this.

Don't really look forward to reset night currently, no matter the tier. The maps will lag, even if one other server has a cloud of only 35+ as it stands, especially inside keeps, even outside of reset.

My guess is that it all happens in the same area with 50v50 groups is the servers cannot keep up with damage calculations. Which I imagine with the new relics are probably making things worse. There are also skills that have damage priority and other things you can do to take advantage. Lag builds are becoming a thing and it is kind fun if you expect it.

I mean it has been known for a while now that you can just abuse lag with enough minon mancers then if you have a comp that does well in lag you can run groups over. I doubt that servers will ever be able to handle full group of them ever so it is just part of the game. Best solution I would say is to reduce the size of groups from 50 and make a massive debuff for having multiple tags stacking but that makes the game worse in other ways.
