ZeftheWicked.3076
Kit wise it looks promising, but a-net is once again disjointing itself from the warrior fantasy here... Banners? Heavy armor? Staff? -> COMMANDER. CENTURION. THE BATTLEFIELD LEADER. Don't you dare have our warriors hold their staff like some lowly thieves or grave digging revenants! In our idle animation the staff is to STAND TALL right next to our inspiring figure! Our allies need to see both our large posture and our large staffs in the thick of battle and know at all times that their commander and leader is there with them, overlooking the whole battlefield! None of this plumber action side holding staff like you're some blue collar worker getting down to the dirty while half of his buttcheeks peek from under his oversized jeans matching the owner's own belly. A staff warrior is a presence of DIGNITY and AUTHORITY. Have him hold his staff proud, and not sideways like some sorta burgler a crowbar! 12 1 4

Verdict is Vengence.6912
I wouldn't mind us summoning soldiers like mesmers summon clones. That style could do well with the standing up staff animation. 5

THe message and feelings are clear. Let's not sweat the details about the other heavy armour wearers. 2 hours ago, DanAlcedo.3281 said: I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER ALL THE BONKING I DOING!!! Careful with the standing tall imagery, that's what scared those boys in wvw when banners were mobile and we were running around pulsing might. They changed that kitten fast. At the front, but not necessarily the exact* front inspiring others. *Note: By that I mean fighting with a reach weapon with their banner affixed to hit while calling out tactics and orders to their comrades. Aeolus.3615
Staff wammo as a frontliner ?? maybe as a support debuffer if using spell breaker, but I don't see banners play much there would be safe to have tdefy pain plus WoD and balance stance then 2 shouts for heal and condi cleanse. 1 hour ago, Eekasqueak.7850 said: Guardians fit more paladin tropes, DH especially since it has a pseudo smite on the f1. Soon will be more like a space marine than a cleric or paly xD, F2 wing leap like a Warhammer jetpack then pistol shield oe P/P or S/ P.
