Eziair.2509
Can you learn a craft at 500, drop it. Learn another craft to 500, drop it. Pick up the first craft and still know all the recipes you got and be 500 or do you have to start again at 0.
jason.1083
Yes, all deciplines remain at the same level and with all the learned recipes if you drop them for a different one, you can max out all of them on a single character and switch between them (50 silver fee) whenever you need a particular one.

SandraSolace.7682
Also, you can have 2 crafts going at the same time, like chef and weaponsmith. And with Additional Crafting Licenses ( You will have to buy those) you can have up to 4 at the same time. That will save you the money when you wanna switch to any other craft. Raven.3127
Yes, you can absolutely do this. As an "altaholic" though, I have so many alternate characters that I just give them class appropriate crafts. Leather worker/ Huntsman for ranger..armorsmith/weaponsmith for warrior...etc. Another thought is to make a character JUST to craft and funnel the materials to it. I have done that and by only crafting turned a character into a 68.
