Transferring to a new PC and retaining Game Data

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a question regarding on downloading Guild Wars 2 to another computer. Since I already have an expansion bought, if I downloaded and logged in to a new computer, does it still retain the game data that I have or I have to buy the expansion again for that new PC???????

Hiii there!

Expansions Packs are Account Bound, which means no matter how many times you switch your PC, if you use your login and password for Guild Wars 2 everything will be there in one place. So your items, progress etc. Everything will be there. The only thing that will be missing are screenshots since those are on your hard drive. Nothing to worry about with expansion, just login, download and play 🙂

To add to Kanon's post, some settings like graphics and sound and such are also reset since those are stored locally on your PC, so if you want to be sure you may want to screenshot (and transfer) those settings so you can replicate them easily.
