Oneiros-Spun Light and Medium Armor - Why do they even exist?

Oneiros-Spun armor is really expensive and it has a use as part of the crafting of the legendary armor - but only the heavy Oneiros-Spun armor set. The skins for all three weights get unlocked when you buy any weight of this armor. So why do the light and medium armor even exist since nobody in their right mind would buy them? No need to buy for the skin - you get the skins for all weights unlocked from the heavy piece and there is  definitely no need to buy it for armor - there are a lot of cheaper options.

Except of course when you're not in your right mind and buy a piece of light armor because you think you need it for crafting light legendary armor. Yes I did that, was first going to get the heavy, then thought oh no I want to craft light legendary armor, so I need a light piece and then, after I bought the light armor I  found that for the crafting of any weight I actually need the heavy armor - this makes so much sense.

.Now any other legendary armor you need to buy the precursor pieces for each weight separately. Here it is one weight (heavy) for all, which of course makes the legendary armor cheaper which is good but also makes the other weights completely and utterly useless, so why don't you please just remove them from the vendors? Am I the only one dumb enough to waste a ton of resouces for a piece of useless exotic armor that I can now salvage to get some silk and maybe an ecto?

I bought the medium armour set. It unlocked the heavy skins which were needed for the achievements.

They exist so that people have more boring grinding to do to compensate for the lack of proper long-term fun-to-play content.

They exist so players can decide which set they acquire depending on what they need or use.

Any of the sets unlock the required skin for the achievement.

Actually forcing players to acquire all 3 sets would have been forcing more grind.

How is this even a discussion?
