Bladesworn "Projectiles"

Yep. also, electric fence doesn't work properly, multiple traits don't work properly. currently, if you take martial cadence and heat the soul, you can't give quickness to allies outside your hitbox 🙂 I've noticed this dragon slash - reach bug many times in PvE, it can't travel on the vertical axis at all.

The same issue exists with Rush, Bladetrail, Linebreaker and Longbow Primal burst, any kind of terrain and half of the fields/projectiles vanish and/or you get stuck. This has been an issue since HoT released.

I'm pretty sure it's because necro sword attacks are all projectiles rather than something that follows along the ground like scorched earth. You can see it more clearly if you put on a legendary weapon to replace the particle effect. They work for the same reason something like dual shot would in that situation. They also put in a lot of work in making thief axes work better on varying terrain.

It's annoying, but dragon slash is in line with all the other similar non-projectile ranged effects. Not that that makes it okay, but it's pretty much how the game functions for everyone, unfortunately.

Electric fence? How does it not work? It blocks projectiles. If you're referring to the fact that it won't reflect them with the trait, then that is intended behaviour.
