Spear mechanic

With most spears *seemingly* having a unique spear mechanic, what would you like to see for warrior spear?

Ill start:

Spear Fragments:

Every time you throw a spear, generate one (1) spear fragment. When you reach a threshold of spear fragments, your next spear throw throws a second spear for 50% damage of the first.

This means you can time when to use something like, say, your burst skill, to essentially get a 50% multiplier on the skill. Or it can just add more damage in general.

What ideas do you guys have?

Rename it to Spear of Fury. Every Spear attack generates 1 stack of Spear of Fury. At 5 stacks gain Aggressive Refrain for 10s, while under the effects of Aggressive Refrain you deal 20% more damage and attack 30% faster. You cannot gain stacks of Spear of Fury while Aggressive Refrain is active, and when Aggressive Refrain ends you suffer from Pious Refrain for 5s during which time you cannot gain stacks of Spear of Fury.

Its still a simple mechanic, and is in theme and flavor with the paragon skills they are remastering for GW2.

just have fun guessing what it does, since the mechanic was not readily apparent in the trailer. Just for fun!

That would be really cool tbh. We may want to bind it to something other than spear attacks though, or it will be generating too quick in competitive I think? Maybe exclude the auto attack?

I think the blogpost was really clear about what "Spear Fragments" do:

hurls the spear at a single enemy, shattering on impact and sending spear fragments into other enemies around the target.

It's just the term for the point-blank AOE created by the autoattack hitting the target. This falls in line with what seems to be the general theme of Warrior Spear, that it essentially cleaves better in Melee, also seen in "Maiming Spear":

The blogpost details 3 skills and the Burst, leaving on 2 skills left to speculate on. I think most people can intuitively derive that Warrior spear doesn't have a "unique spear mechanic" unless you'd call cleave a unique spear mechanic.
