What if... Warrior Had Upgraded Quickness?

So, it is not uncommon for certain classes to have boons but altered to have increased benefits, things like protection also granting condition damage reduction, or Might granting extra power, or Fury being twice as effective, etc.

What if warrior had a trait that did this for quickness? Well, we do sort of. Aggressive Onslaught causes quickness to also grant 33% increased movement speed. But is that really the best option? After all, if you've CC'd someone why do you need that increased move speed?

I propose this:

Aggressive Onslaught: Gain quickness for 3s and 3 stacks of might for 10s when connecting with a crowd control skill. Quickness is 50% more effective. 1/4s CD. All game modes.

What does that mean. Quickness reduces your cast time by 33%. Quickness - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W):

"Increasing the casting speed by 50% means an actual reduction of casting times of just 33%."

So, making it 50% more effective means a reduction of casting times of 50%, rather than 33%. This would go a LONG way in helping warrior's damage execution and follow through out.

Here's how to downgrade your quickness.

Take Heat the Soul and Martial Cadence.

Watch as nobody in your subgroup is getting boons from you anymore.

Yeah, ANET emailed me back about this saying they won't fix it unless it's popular. Even though they're buffing Martial Cadence next patch.

@Lan Deathrider.5910 If you want broken animations sure. Everyone wants to get hit by an unreactable 10k arcing slice right??

Why not just make it on-hit dependent rather than cc dependent? Or even better we could change peak performance to 7% more damage applied after movement skill and quickness trait being applied by physical skills. Would be cool to play kick or bolas then..

Arcing slice in that scenario wouldn't be the first fast cast high damage skill to ever exist. 🎻 

Kick needs it's damage back and bolas needs a pull flip over, better tracking, and a slightly faster projectile speed. They would get played more then.

Except it's a well known bug. It has been since Martial cadence was changed to stability in PvE.

Also, in competetive, Heat the Soul increases the range of Martial Cadence's quickness instead.

The tooltip will not tell you the bugged radius. The effective range of Heat the Soul's boons goes down to 90 when both traits are equipped. It's not intended, it's a bug.
