Elemental summons disappearing on mounting is absolutely absurd.

Forget that necro minions are permanent until killed. Forget that, once summoned, necro minion summoning skills transform into active utility skills. Forget that multiple necro minions can be summoned with a single cast and the ele has to summon them one-at-a-time with a long cooldown. Forget that the tooltip actually shows you how much damage each minion does and ele summons are a black hole. Forget that there are traits that enhance minions and zero such traits for the ele. Forget the dozen other reasons why the necro profession in general is so much stronger.

Oh yea, the reason for all this is that ele summons are extremely powerful. Nope.

Can we just get one tiny improvement? Can the summons stop disappearing when we mount up!?

Ele summons are quite strong though. And they also have an active skill.

I would even say ele summons are more viable in high end, competitive modes to necro summons which are more or less just for open world tanking. Maybe flesh wurm in pvp but only for the traversal not for the summon. Or if you really need more cc.

Necro minions all have an active skill too (excellent CC on golem, on-demand immob with bone fiend, blind/weak/chill on shadow fiend -- others have them too but sacrifice the minion). The reason ele summons aren't permanent seems to be more that you'd have to wait for it to die to change the summon to one from another element otherwise.
