Dear Anet, stop transferring people to different teams, please! It's just being abused!

Recommended Posts

So many people of our so called "alliance guild" had opened a ticket and have let the support move them to a different team, claiming they weren't linked with the right guild. Some even joined a completely new guild they haven't been part of during the creation of the teams and were "transferred" to that new guild's team. I know you're trying to be generous, but your generosity is being abused by winning team joiners. This creates a huge imbalance in terms of activity and population, and causes a lot of frustration among many players. What's the point of creating an algorithm that attempts to balance out teams based on activity if literally everyone can change teams for free at any time just by submitting a ticket and lying to your support?
At least order the support to make sure those people had already been part of the guild they ask to be moved to. The current state is just a ridiculous way of match manipulation!

We heard about this today. They were on the Red Team the day prior and now they're on the Green Team. I find this to be disturbing and downright unfair. We still have members of our alliance guild stuck on different servers(teams). Now the Green Team has received a distinct advantage. I'd like to know who approved this mass transfer. Did they have a friend from ANET who okayed this action? From the numbers it was around 30-35+, all from one guild.

Why don't your lot put in a request to move?

I presume anet are just being extra nice as it's the start of restructuring. I'd expect them to stop transferring soon unless there was an actual bug

Many of them have, as far as we know.

The whole beta doesn't make sense if a lot of people are postponed. That distorts everything. There was a fixed time when you were supposed to choose your guild, if that didn't happen, bad luck. Support should only intervene if it really was a mistake. So we can go right back to the server system.

I do agree on what you say here, BUT the issue of not choosing is a Arena Net problem. There was so many players not having a clue this would happen. There was so many players not having a clue they needed to choose and when the last day was. And people will go yeah but it is said here in the forum and there is a small, super tiny clock on your guild panel that you should hoover your mouse over to realise something is going on. All that is kitten. Arena Net should have sent a ingame mail to each player  and also to their game mail in real life. Because just look at how few there is in this forum compared to how many there is that play WvW. In a mail they could shortly tell about choosing alliance and also look at the official webside where they gave more info.

As it was now it is mostly us the players, the veterans, the dedicated who knew, whilst those that play every now and then, or those that are never in any forum but just playing the game who had no clue. I mean just last night i saw people talking about  relink still. Obviously those are players who just show up from time to time, but never the less the information to the players, ALL players about Worldrestruction was very poor. If they had got the information out, then i would be 100% with you and i would feel well tough luck, deal with it and wait until next shuffle.

No, the fact that people didn't notice is now an excuse. It has been pointed out several times in the last beta's that you have to register and only in a certain time. There are also articles about it and Anet writes about it in the news on the main page. Ignoring them is another matter. Yes, Anet should have used the possibility again via in-game mail that you have to tick it and also where. But that's just an excuse. It was also said again and again in the team chats in WvW when a beta was pending in WvW. There was also over 1 month time to set this hack. Here you also have to make people aware that they need to inform themselves. In most cases, this is also mentioned again in the patch notes. And relinks still take place, the players are right. You have the chance to play in your guild again. But on the main topic, it's just cheeky of the people to bother the support with changing, then they should rather let their displeasure out here in the forum or on Reddit so that Anet also gets something of it, if this makes high waves. Basically, you should cancel the beta and look for an alternative first so that people can switch to the guild/server with gems if they missed it. The current imbalance is even more imbalanced.
