BSW nerfs makes no sense

The problem: big selfheal and projectiles hate.

ANet's solution:

-Nerf DT CC.

-Nerf DT 2 mobility, despite being clearly dodgeable by the explosion sound.

🤡

Honestly, is there any dev taking this class at least a bit seriously?

TBF, they did also nerf both Combat Stimulant and barrier generation from Unshakeable Mountain. Also, the DT CC was pretty strong in competitive (although I don't know that it deserved removal).

Agreed that DT 2 change was just dumb and added more bugs to an already buggy spec.

I think they would rather not touch Bladesworn's survivability because it was designed to stay in the thick of things.

My own person grief is the Daring Dragon change since it was the most fun aspect of the espec.

But DT 2 is in fact the most ridiculous change. The delay is so dang silly and worse, it takes away a lot of fun.

If a fully charged DT would do damage proportional to the effort you had to invest to actually cast it, it would oneshot everything and anything in PvP/WvW. Cant really balance around that so its utility of being unblockable and stunning was the main usage, the damage was a nice addition.
The stun was the only thing about DT in competitive modes that actually made the ability worth using, after that nerf it was just better to auto attack with Gunsabre.

After the nuking of this ability in PvP came the nerfs to survivability. This essentially nerfed the elite spec out of the competitive space entirely since thats what it had left.

Whoever was in charge of the balance choices around Memesworn in PvP/WvW probably hated playing against it so much they nerfed it out of existance in those environments.
Another mark on the wall for disgusting incompetence/negligence and/or spite by the dev team against warrior as a profession.

They added a delay before the attack actually launches.

Sure, except now we really don't see it...anywhere. Not roaming, not zergs, not Conquest. They gutted it completely outside of a few niche cases that see very rare use and are, again, niche in their use. What is also rough is the Discipline/Strength/Bladesworn build was actually a fairly well rounded, decently balanced build (save for a few outlying issues like Unshakeable Mountain) that I personally enjoyed using so as to avoid the egregious nonsense that was Defense Bladesworn and they nuked it from orbit with the removal of the CC on Unyielding Dragon. It relied on that CC for survival and setup and if it did not happen right alongside the Arms changes it could have actually created a viable power build with Arms/Discipline/Bladesworn that did not need to build as much crit chance, due to it relying on its trait synergy for near 100% crit chance on important burst opportunities, but instead they chose the route that created less build diversity for reasons we still do not know or understand.

Why would they take it seriously? It's a game, it's all for fun. And Bladesworn is mostly a role play spec...

How much more do these people need to show you that they hate warrior, not just incompetence but pre-meditated and executed on hatred of warrior for the wakeup to happen?

Will nerfing of only competitive spec, spell breaker do it for you?

They dont need to show anything more then they have, we all get the underlying message.

In this situation though no actual statement of  "We hate the warrior profession and are doing everything possible to make it worse" exists, and the devs have displayed such mind boggling incompetence för multiple other profession choices in the past.
So its safer to assume pure apathy and incompetence then malice, but in this situation its probably incompetent malice via apathetic treatment.
