Where is our Sun-Grown Spear?

Thanks Anet for the game but if i remember correctlly you said your gonna add in spear skins from now on and I can see you have done it for the last festival with https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sacred_Crystal_Spear and this time with Sandswept Spear. Was looking through the Sun-Grown weaponchest and wanted to choose the Sun-Grown Spear becuse why not have more spear skins before next exp but cant find it 😞

Please add a Sun-Grown Spear!!!

They said they wouldn't add spear skin to already existing sets.

Sun grown set is an old set, so no spear, that's normal.

I have wondered that as well - though for the Zephyrite set where they added remaining ones. So ... since they were still working on those they could have tried to sneak in a spear there as well. 😛

Would have liked one for Divine Sovereign too. That's a skin that would sit nicely for my character in lieu of a Dragon's Decade one

Because they're not adding them retroactively. The equivalent of the "sacred crystal spear" you brought up would be the sandswept weapon skin and that one does have a spear skin too.

This is smart since that would be hundreds of spears so I'm not saying they need to reverse that on a global scale but you know, it would be nice if we got the occasional spear added to an old set. For example adding one to a lion weapons set would cause problems with the collection achievements presumably, but a festival is a great place to just toss one in, they need as much content as possible to keep people repeating dailies and such.

That's a bit naive to assume that if you add a spear to one old set, player won't ask for all of them "because you added one to an old set", so you kinda didn't want to create a new rule, as a dev 😅

They could do a series of black lion spear only sets to cover the missing skins.

Yeah this is the unfortunate reality lol, they know we all act like hungry chicks (mama bird and chicks analogy) haha. I just pray the JW spear skins are jaw dropping and incredible.

I like to imagine everyone that complained about underwater content non-stop until Anet just quit it and stoped making those weapons is right upset there aren't any glitter-overflowing spears skins around.

Did I assume that? I never said people wouldn't ask for it but the wide ranger of players in this game encompasses both greedy and stupid people, such that we ALREADY have people asking for that anyway... what harm would it do to toss out an extra spear every now and then?

Yeah, kinda.

Either that, or you didn't realize that the first time you give them that is the moment you change from an hopeless demand to a plausible one, litterally asking them to keep asking for it.
