Question about Silent Surf fractal...

Sometimes when I kill the mob on the island, the boss still kills us with the blast.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?🤔

Isnt the mechanic that the player who sees the icon on the map kills it?

Or do more than one player get them?

Several players (1-3 depending on diff) will see their own island icon and each can only see their own. To succeed that phase without getting blasted each player has to kill their island mob. Just before each person needs to do an island, there will be a short period where the “island hoppers” will see a silver line between them and one of the unattackable mobs on the edge of the main island. Everyone with a line will be visible to everyone else and it’s those people that will need to hop to the outer islands. 
 

There’s a small spot on the edge of main island that is outside the blast area. Standing there you won’t take the full amount of damage. You take some but it’s usually survivable.
