The King and Queen's Horrorween 2024 - Official Art Contest 
 

For this 19th Horrorween event,  there shall be another grand Halloween art contest.

To enter, post a Halloween art piece that you created in this thread, and include at least one of the event's hosts in your art piece. The deadline will be the day after the Horrorween 2024 event. So make sure you submit your entry on time! The top 3 winners will earn spectacular prizes, to be revealed as the event draws closer, and we'll have smaller prizes for the runners up.

(Note: By taking part in this contest you are granting us permission to use your artwork for future non-commercial promotion of the Horrorween. We like showing off the amazing art of our events.)

This year's theme is Draconic and or Coast Buster (Lion Guard fused with a Ghost Buster). So let that inspire your wonderful creations and we will award extra points for being on theme.

Note: AI art pieces will be unfavourably judged & are not allowed, in alignment with ArenaNet's policy on such usage. We encourage WIP submissions to the contest. 

Prizes

1st place: ArenaNet Gem Code, Shrouded Bench of the Final Judge, Power Ghostly Infusion (more prizes to follow)

2nd place: ArenaNet Gem Code, Shrouded Bench of the Final Judge, Power Ghostly Infusion (more prizes to follow)

3rd place: ArenaNet Community Chest, Power Ghostly Infusion (more prizes to follow)

Additional prizes may be added to the pot, and there are also surprise prizes for some of the runners up!

Greetings; lemme fire this Contest off with a "Artistic Composition"....

 

Features:

-Dead or Alive; the Vengeful spirits of Elder Dragons are sure to wreak havoc during Horrorween this year.

-A "Happy / child-friendly" Daniel Frozenwind.( this year he aims to increase his popularity among the community even more.... by smiling)

-Armed with State of the Art Quantum Energy weapons and Ghost repelling armor; the Coast Busters are ready to kick some spectral Butts this year.

-The Coast Busters couldn't find Drooburt.... so they ooze-napped something from SAB to act as their.... Ghostly sidekick? 🤷‍♂️

-Mr Frozenwind's Teacher in "smiling" ; The Labyrinthine Horror named "Steve" insisted on joining the festivities.

-A Red eyed Malafide (This 100% all natural eye treatment was achieved by binge watching horror movies for over a year.... without blinking)

-It seems Authorities are unto his "Candy Corn Laundering schemes"... Drooburt had no choice but to hide inside a logo.

-The Mad King had dibs on the lower part of this image after getting 1st place in Madking's Clocktower Jumping Puzzle; 20 times in a row.(rigged ofcourse)

 

EDIT: Usefull information for people submitting Contest Art!

Anet has added a feature on this forum that allows storage and display of your images.(Handy for contests like these in particular)

On the top of the forum page you will see a "+ Create" button; simply upload the images you wanna "store" for later usage.

When you make a post; below you will see a dropdown menu called "Other Media", Select "Insert existing attachment" to display images in your post.
