echarran.9450
I was hoping to find some of Cantha's beautiful gardens and landscaping in the handiwork recipe selections. So far I have not. I have a Floral Canthan Rug and Canthan Condiments. Is this coming in the future? I would like to see a Japanese weeping Sakura Cherry Blossom tree recipe, with the dark wood bark and the bright pink petals. It was one of my Mom's favorite trees - she passed away last year. The story line to get the homestead also involves the loss of a Mother so it really hit home to me. I was building a cemetary on my island in my Homestead and thought it would be nice to have one of those trees that my Mom loved, and I wouldn't have to go to Seitung to see one. I know it seems weird, but she used to play with me on GW2 and she was really getting the hang of it, even at 70 she was still a gammer at heart! Then she started to get really sick and stoped playing. It took me a long time to come back and play by myself after she passed, and every now and then when I log on - it takes me a minute to realize she's not coming. Sometimes I just go to Seitung and sit near one of the Cherry Blossom trees before I go off to battle the bosses. Anyway hoping to see these trees available for crafting in the Handiwork station for the homestead soon.

Hi Dean, Thank you for commenting. I really can imaging a lot could be built with all the assets of the game. We have some very imaginative people in our gaming world, I'd really love to see what others have done with their homesteads so far. I'd also love to see some of the Secret's of the Obscure furniture and the outside garden seating as well. it would definitly be a pretty site to see some homesteads built up like a tiny town. I do hope for more in future content releases, but I truely hope they don't wait too long to add more colorful trees and ground cover to the mix. I mean with the Fall coming up on us quickly, who wouldn't want their front yard filled with piles of fallen maple leaves? Or for the winter months, their ground covered in snow? If there is a way to get the message out, and more people agree that these small adds would make a difference to most of us - maybe the DEVs will see it and make it happen. Crossing of fingers begins ..... NOW!

There are some incredible homesteads out there being shown off. There's more scattered around the forum in various threads. I saw one with a very creative use of the inferno to make dust storms and also an asuran cube

Thank you so much for sharing those images with us that is amazing work. I imagine that took a lot of time and creative thinking to get done. I haven't seen a train recipe yet.. I'm looking forward to having it. I don't recall seeing patches of green grass in the recipe list, I'll have to look into that.. The Hobbit-stead is so creative! I have some new ideas now, thank you. Still crossing my fingers for those Japanese cherry trees though. Edited Tuesday at 10:08 PM by echarran.9450

These aren't my images, just ones being shared around the community along with many others

The grassy roof Look is quite clever. Just like I said earlier, this community is full of creative minds. just seeing these pictures proves it. I too have lost my mother, even though she wasnt a gamer in fact should had issues using her phone but she loved the beauty of things. She would like the beauty and art of this game, and I think the tombstone would be a perfect addition in remembrance to her. My heart hurts like you for my mother.
