i've had to stay away from PvP for a while because of the awful meta & balance (and wintrading, blech) but watching the most predictable string of events happen from a distance (no virt f1/distortion nerfs, willbender barely touched, axe thief's design still being kittenous, elementalist getting buffs and becoming S-tier again because ?????) is so unabashedly expected that it's painful. like CMC and the gang 100% have to be living in a bubble with how easy it is to see irrelevant nerfs and unneeded buffs coming despite overwhelming pushback from everyone playing the game.

but hey, by this point, is anyone still playing pvp not a masochist? i can't imagine any other reason to keep playing 😂 😂

Nah, they are just sitting with the top competitive players and streamers in some hidden discord probs. Happened before, who is to say it isnt happening again, all the signs are there.

You might see "some" push back here on the forums but go in game and all you will see is a field of sheep eagerly eating w/e crap Anet gives them as a low risk title chasing spec. Empathy almost got the better of me, maybe just stay silent and let the beta male players hard ride low risk ganks so they can get a sense of what being an alpha must feel like, but that would be misplaced empathy.. can't have betas running the show, it won't last. It is more of a shame to see some players I know are actually very good at the game, also jump on the degen low risk-high reward waggon.

The condi mech playing on and off peak, who will be primaried and hard focused every game, basically taking more risk than your fotm off peak plats.. sounds pretty alpha to me.

Just here to see them be proud of their PUUUUUUSHHHHH mode and sweat hard when no one plays it due to PvP being utterly doodoo and they have to explain to upper management that Push was a fail.

You should learn about alfpha and ethology. What you describe is exactly alpha behavior. It's not about beigh bad or good things.

Alphas do not run away from other alphas (see any Alpha male defending his pack/territory, see any champion boxer who does not duck fights). Most of the top players in this game are basically Mayweathers.. look him up and tell me hes not a beta. Guy had 1 good fight, got scared.. and Q dodged ever since.

Btw it very much is about good and bad. A bad Alpha very often gets turned on by the pack, in both the human and animal kingdom. Good Alphas stay in place a hell of a lot longer, research it more yourself if you care, becuase I know @Quintoozla.7893 struggles with posts over five sentences long.

Nothing "beta" about enjoying a game for what it has to offer. You'd criticize a racecar driver in a race on grounds that you riding your rusted unicycle is much harder to win the same race with.
