When you click on items in your notifications please have it spawn a new tab instead of opening in the same tab because you can't right click on it to open in a new tab. It'd be nice if looking at posts would also spawn new tabs but at least we can right click those to open into a new tab. New posts need to spawn a new tab also.

Hold ctrl while clicking a link and it'll open in a new tab, or you can hold shift if you want a new window. It's standard in most browsers.

That's fine if you have direct access to a keyboard. With my complicated setup I don't always have a keyboard in front of my computer.

Middle-click (scroll wheel click) also opens links in a background/new tab by default on most browsers.

I actually prefer how it is now. So if they do add this, it needs to be an option.
