Illconceived Was Na.9781
Our own @"Wanze.8410" (writing as Rude Asura) made the following observations about the supply of the new snowflakes, which helps explain why the price went up, while typically prices for new mats go down during festivals. Rude Asura wroteI am just trying to figure out our snowflake consumption, old and new, so I had a closer look at the amount of old tiered snowflakes, that vanished from the trading post since wintersday began. And i find the numbers quite impressive:Tiny Snowflakessupply before patch: 16.5 millioncurrent supply: 8.8 millionsupply deficit: 7.7 millionconversion rates into new snowflakes: 1:1new snowflakes generated: 7.7 millionDelicate Snowflakesupply before patch: 4.7 millioncurrent supply: 3.3 millionsupply deficit: 1.4 millionconversion rates into new snowflakes: 1:1new snowflakes generated: 1.4 millionGlittering Snowflakesupply before patch: 4.5 millioncurrent supply: 2.6 millionsupply deficit: 1.9 millionconversion rates into new snowflakes: 1:3new snowflakes generated: 5.7 millionUnique Snowflakesupply before patch: 0.63 millioncurrent supply: 0.23 millionsupply deficit: 0.4 millionconversion rates into new snowflakes: 1:5new snowflakes generated: 2 millionPristine Snowflakesupply before patch: 0.39 millioncurrent supply: 0.14 millionsupply deficit: 0.25 millionconversion rates into new snowflakes: 1:7new snowflakes generated: 1.75 millionFlawless Snowflakesupply before patch: 5.9 millioncurrent supply: 0.9 millionsupply deficit: 5 millionconversion rates into new snowflakes: 1:10new snowflakes generated: 50 millionSo thats nearly 68 million Snowflakes possibly generated from the supply of old snowflakes that left the TP since Tuesday, so in roughly 80 hours.Considering that the supply of new snowflakes on the tp has mostly been between 100k to 1 million, its gonna be interesting to see, if those other 67 million snowflakes are in investor vaults or if they were destroyed already for crafting/vendor rewards.Of course, we have to keep in mind the Snow Diamonds as each one represents 1k snowflakes. But their supply has also only been hovering around 1-2k until I bought them all out this morning, so those only make up 1-2 million snowflakes as well.My guess will be that plenty of snowflakes will be stored away, not only by investors but also regular players, in the form of snow diamonds, as they are depositable but I cant help to think that we are consuming snowflakes at a way faster pace than we are producing them through this years festival.
