Character idle animation and jumping puzzles

Something I have noticed quite a bit specifically with the WW Xmas JP is that when you try to move your character during a idle animation there is a very tiny delay which can utterly screw you up.

This is particularly a problem in the Winter Wonderland because you are forced to wait for certain thing such as boulders presents and snowflakes. This waiting period can trigger your character to do a idle animation.

For example, because you need to "break" the animation before you move, what typically happens is you will hit the W key followed shortly by Space key which normally triggers a long jump in the game. However, if your characters was doing a idle animation, the W will register late because you need to break the animation and what will end up happening is you jump then go forward which is a short jump and you will fall to your death.

Now there is a solution to this, and it is to tap or jiggle some movement keys back and forth just before the jumping window becomes available, but honestly that's a workaround to an annoying problem which should be fixed.

There is always an idle animation. There is no difference between periodic special animations and the normal one. Both require "breaking" the idle animation to transition to running. There is an unspecific bug where initiating movement can cause the character to become frozen in a static pose. If this is what you're talking about, the easier way to prevent this is to move or wiggle the RMB camera slightly as you start running.
