Stat of ascended weapon/armor

My assumption, stat of ascended weapon/armor is same for different weapon. ie aaa ascended short bow will be same as bbb ascended short bow.. Only thing the determine the stat are the prefix.. am i correct ?I got an anchu weapon treasure box for tq boss that give me a anchu short bow, while i planning to to make one - zojja shortbow.... now i can use the resources to built my ascended greatsword...

yes, prefix determines stat combinations. Item rarity determines how many points of those stats you get. So if both weapons are ascended, the stats will be equal

You can also change the stats on ascended weapons and armor in the mystic forge.

You're right.

There's only 3 things which affect the stats on a piece of equipment. The prefix determines which stats it has - e.g. beserker always has Power, Precision and Ferocity and the rarity and level requirement determine the numbers - e.g. a level 70 rare longbow will have better stats than a level 60 rare longbow, or a level 70 masterwork longbow.

Since ascended equipment is always level 80 it will always have the same numbers, the only difference is which prefix. So a dropped ascended weapon is just as good as a crafted one or one from an achievement etc.
