fractal levels

I have done the first 15 fractals and my question is can I jump to fractal 20 as I need the eye lens to carry on crafting the bifrost or do I have to just carry on till I get to 20.any help would be much appreciated.

If you join a party with someone who has a higher personal fractal level you can do up to whatever their level is, so if you know someone who's personal level is 20 they can select fractal 20 and you can also join.

You can do any level from scratch as long you have the AR ( agony resistance) and someone to open that level.

Like it has been stated, aslong as you have the Agony Resistance you can join any level, you may need a friend to invite you to the higher level fractals, I think it still tier locks you out of joining higher groups when your personal reward level is lower, keep in mind if you have not played all the fractals you may want to do that first, so you know the basic mechanics, the higher in levels you go, they add Fractal Instabilities which add features/mechanics to each level, you can read more about the Agony Resistance and Instabilities from the link below.

Even if no one you know has level 20 unlocked... just put on LFG that you're doing a frac 20 run and you need an "opener". I've had times where a stranger took the time to join my party just to open the instance and then left to do whatever he/she had planned. Of course, he/she told us that was the reason for joining our LFG so we weren't surprised/annoyed when he/she left after opening the instance.
