Katoomba.6905
I am lost with the points distribution. For instance the points for Build:There is SKILLS and it has I think 5 other headings under that egSIGNET trainingMantraManipulatio et and a line that becomes a thick line as you add pointsthen SSPECIALIZATIONS etcsame againafter that theELITENow I am wondering if you have to fill up all the lines under SIGNET and ALL the lines under MANTRA before you can put points in ELITEI notice that then at level 80(after I filled each line of the above)for Elite I have 9 points left and need like 300 or so for some of those Elite powersHow on earth would a person earn so much in the next part/expansion?I hope this can be understood. Me being German does not help I guess, but my German is not so good any longer eitherbecause i live in Australia speaking English and do not really know the computer game terms in German.Anyway, trying to fix up my existing chars because at high level I think the skills points are all in the wrong places lol

BlaqueFyre.5678
So to unlock Elite Specs you have to be Level 80 and have unlocked every Core Specialization completely before you can assign points to the Elite Spec Line, each Elite Spec takes 250 Hero Points to complete.Leveling to 80 gives enough Hero Points to unlock all Core Specializations.Core Tyria offers 200 Hero Points, Maguuma(Heart of Thorns) offers 400 Hero Points, Crystal Desert and Vaabi (Path Of Fire)offer 290 Hero Points, WvW offers 13. Danikat.8537
Yes, you have to fill all the skill and specialisation lines before you can train the elite specialisations. You can get more than enough points to unlock everything. My main character has everything unlocked (both elite specs) and 184 points left over, and hasn't even got all the Hero Points available.First thing to know: you get enough points from levelling to unlock everything except the elite specs. You can then get more from Hero Point Challenges in open-world maps, or from the Heroics Notary vendor in World vs. World. Challenges in core Tyria maps give 1 point, ones in expansion maps give 10 points each. (Which means you can unlock the elite specs much faster by focusing on the expansion maps.)
