Soilder.3607
When the Soulbeast elite skill One Wolf Pack is shared with a pet, it will do about twice as much damage as it is supposed to be doing whenever the pet attacks with the buff.Notice, in this screenshot I hit the golem with the first skill of my sword auto chain. One wolf pack crits for nearly 1k damage from me. I then have my pet use Takedown, and his One Wolf Pack deals 2.3k damage. Here's a video example of me abusing it https://i.imgur.com/gl3eBMo.gifv
Chrury.4627
Whoa. Wonder why this is a thing. :/On most pets, I imagine the damage per second would average around player damage or lower as their attack speed is low. But with fast pet attacks like from bristleback or smokescale...This requires research!
EnderzShadow.2506
mmmm unexpected buff :)or youre bad at math.It wasnt 'just' one wolf pack that you used.

You're right, in the video I used Sic Em for effect, to show how effective this is in bursting. However, the initial point still stands. Without buffing, it does roughly twice as much damage. Soilder.3607
Here it is unbuffed. Notice my smokescale does 5.1k damage total with OWP when using smoke assault. I enter beastmode and use the same skill, and my OWP only does 2k damage.https://i.imgur.com/3cP1eiZ.mp4
EnderzShadow.2506
Did the same thing as you, did not have the same result. Not even close.Normal smoke assault was some where around 3 kand it was 4218 total with one wolf pack, sicem and moa stance.

Soilder.3607
Here it is clearly doing twice as much damage in WvW too. In the first video, my pet does 6.4k damage with OWP using smoke assault. In the second video, I use smoke assault and do only 3.2k. https://imgur.com/a/Kmqwbhttps://imgur.com/a/CLbAa
EnderzShadow.2506
No I didn't.Ill do it in a game and see what happens.
Soilder.3607
Here it is in PvE. My smokescale does 5.4k with OWP when using smoke assault. In the gif the number goes up to 6.6k, but that's because my pet managed to sneak in an auto attack. When I use smoke assault, I do 3.2k with OWP, with one of the OWP strikes critting.https://i.imgur.com/hptp2oI.mp4
EnderzShadow.2506
I have yet to replicate it.Maybe some other people can try it out, when they are back to playing regularly.
Ardenwolfe.8590
I suspect this is a bug with the smokescale. I could replicate this once in every ten or so mobs. And even then, I needed to use Sic 'Em to do it. Sometimes it would happen without the elite. No idea, but I used Beastmastery and Wilderness Survival at the time. Pretty devastating to a normal mob or anything with low hit points or armor. Again, not sure, but I did have the elite on my bar.Very random
Lalainnia.3598
Smoke assault on the pet is stronger than smoke assault when you're merged the reason for this is because you the player gain evade frames while also generating personal might and it has a 900m range so you can use it for re positioning etc. You can check the wiki and in game the pet skill is more powerful, so far this honestly looks like its intended. Redemer.2601
on average the pet abilitys do double the dmg you do with those same abilitys while in beast mode which is prob the reson for that aswellthats my guess atleast
