Yay.. another season of circlequest

So with the issue of stale uncompetitive yet to be resolved with having speed be more of use then actual skill in circlequest. Roll speed or bunker win games zzz ZZZ zzz. Please for the love of jeebus please give us a que for TDM with the ones we have or let stronghold be ranked que anything is better then circlequest. Circlequest promotes low skill people who run builds that would be destroyed easy in actual pvp maps, but circlequest holds them up.

If we are going at this with no changes to the mmr system then please give us access to actual pvp maps.

conquest is completely fine in itself, even class design is okayish overall (scourge isnt that bad in its design, instacasts just fuck it all up)..personally i like this meta way more than bunker meta, just nerf holo, fb, scourge, mirage, druid + axe war (throw axe 6k OMEGALUL) and we fine

Capture points exist to create points of engagement. Without them most professions have enough mobility/defensive tools to never ever die, so they are necessary because it punishes people for running away from a fight. But still you're not supposed to literally afk in that circle, if you're doing that then you're doing it wrong.

(Not to be rude but) these posts are becoming a bit ad nauseam. I'm certain we've heard your message for quite some time now and making an entire thread about it is unnecessary.

In your eyes Conquest might not require a brain but for me (at least) it does. In many cases it's advised to give order out to allies (will be easier when the map ping icons update). Also, having a knowledgebase for rotating on every class and individual build is important as you can predict where your enemy team will head, as well as correcting your allies' rotations.

Umm because glory pvp with out the pve pugs was a great time for pvp minus circlequest. But apparently you weren't here back at launch so it's all good.

Your still here? Sorry I just beat a 5 man premade team with just 4 random pugs. Sadly since circlequest was pushed so hard not as many are in stronghold. Then again allowing ranked play with the season would bring people back.

Circlequest has no pvp purpose other then to let baddies like blur blur actually win games since 1v1 or +1ing someone is too hard for him, non combat circles that can't fight back are better for him to fight and beat.

If the post is annoying just think of how not being able to play real pvp is. We are stuck with circlequest speed pvp and I'm just sick of it. I'll grab my first toon I made (thief) and win games with one hand tied behind my back and one eye blocked. But spamming my button #5 key to the breaking point is zzz ZZZ zzz. Roll sb teef win games. That's not competitive pvp.

Way more strategy then fighting circles in circlequest lol. Funny thing is alot more people play now and I've been having more awesome matches. Compared to trying to carry 4 pugs in circlequest just to beat all the other team in 2v1s or 1v1s but still lose because circlequest requires speed not skill to win.

Sb5 in stronghold? I've rarely seen sb thief's in sh. Deadeyes actually gets to have a chance at life in stronghold so I see them more. Can't play a deadeye in circlequest because you give up the speed for circle dancing.

They tried stronghold and courtyard but they are sadly even worse.

That said there is already a solution for getting self-sufficient classes to fight and it happens to be a core mechanic of the most popular pvp game on the planet - a shrinking battle area. This is used in Battlerite as well.

Just add in a 5 minute Kill score match or a multi round one life deathmatch where the play field shrinks so you cant camp or kite forever. Use the same maps but delete circles.

I urge you to attend a monthly at and lose in first round cus u have no clue. I can also make a bet with you right here ill get 4 players and you get 4 players and we do a stronghold and we will beat you. Wanna take that bet?

Lol why would I waste time on circlequest? I've played enough of that since gw2 launch. I'll wait for the 2v2 at where some skill is required and not speed.

Blur blur bucko even if I had 4 pugs and you had 4 friends and yourself you would still lose at stronghold because you are on the team and there are no circles to fight

why you waiting for something where skill is required but play stronghold which is made for 50 y/o pve players fighting each other who rather push npcs instead of playing pvp? enlighten me

seems op didnt play stronghold when people actually bothered to use optimized strategies to win stronghold

optimal stronghold strats involved very little pvp and was mostly about rushing the boss while spamming support on the bomb skritts. it was really formulaic and pretty boring

and as it happens i already get my dose of pve from my weekly raid full clears on saturdays so id rather get some pvp action in pvp

i mean i wouldnt mind a massive rework of stronghold to force continuous pvp, but thats never going to happen
