Daniel Handler.4816
Ele, Ranger, Engie, and Rev are incredibly versatile both skill wise and stat wise. That hasn't changed. But various balance changes over the year have left them all too weak to compete.Druid and Holosmith aren't exceptions, they are symptoms. They are Heal and Heat Shroud with a little berserker mode tossed in. Where are the tempest, weavers, soulbeasts, scrappers, heralds and renegades?Avatar amulet was a start. But more needs to be done to help the specs that don't have temporary f5 kits. Edit: @Ben Phongluangtham.1065I think the problem is the generalists heavily rely on boons to maintain overall strength while swapping between roles. While the specialists rely on powerful profession mechanics they can use at will. In a boon hate meta, generalists can't take advantage of new stat selections. Double attunement, beastmode, and fervor are not seeing their full potential because those classes are using them to break even after an overall sustain loss. I don't want to wait two years so I can get an elemental forge that blocks attunement/conjure weapons for 6 seconds.Don't forget core classes. Of the classes you listed, engineer still borrows very heavily from its core class in PvE; in PvP engineers stray away from nearly everything that isn't instant cast (or close to it). For instance, Mesmer always using blink and portal, Thief always has shadowstep.
Dawdler.8521
Aw I thought there was a class called "Generalist" that would have like 1 skill from every other class :(IMO they could be competetive.
