PookieDaWombat.6209 Posted January 24, 2018 Share Posted January 24, 2018 So you make a map that encourages using the terrain to your advantage, making use of mobility and obstacles as well as clever use of CC and fears and knock backs with tons of verticality , and which also makes for a good dailies room for people who might need/want to get PvP dailies out of the way without cluttering up normal PvP matches and leaving those to more serious PvP players...and you go and COMPLETELY neuter it in this update.Jump pads are now buggy and complete useless as you have to stop and jump on them precisely to get them to work, which defeats the purpose of the things, and you can't CC people off of SH point anymore, so anyone that can fill that space with hate consistently will just hold the point.Its like you are trying to make this less fun on purpose. Ever since Scourge, that point in particular is a cancerous shitshow. And with their fear being able to be castable within such a large radius, getting feared off was that much easier. My guess is that they changed this particularly due to Scourge, which even beyond that point has a huge advantage on the map.And no offense but daily rooms should be the last thing on the list of their priorities when making decisions for maps. PookieDaWombat.6209 Posted January 24, 2018 Author Share Posted January 24, 2018 Those dailies rooms kept people that didn't want to play PvP matches from filling up queues and teams with non-PvP players that just wanted to get their dailies. Now they will be forced into matches making the whole thing more toxic than it already is on a good day.And the whole point of that map and the point itself was the ability to CC people from that point, and a good warrior or ranger thief could CC that Scourge from that point. Now its just a closed off room that the Scourge can cover in hate for anyone trying to take it since they can't be CC'd off of it. Maybe Anet needed to actually fix Scourge instead of taking a unique map and gutting the very things that made it interesting/useful. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The cap point was way too small and badly abused by scourge. Classes with knockback had ridiculous unfair advantage in capping skyhammer, which made it a very imbalanced map pretty much inadequate for any serious gameplay.These changes were requested a million times, now we have them, and most people are happy with that. No build diversity, no real counter play, condi fest, and now you have to wait 5 secs to run away from condis spam on the point (scourge )or a nascar tank (spellbreaker) or the overpowered mirage.And the the whole not being able to fall off that platform is ridiculous...
