old question - this one is a little new though:I purchased GW1 through steam.when I log on through the game client, it says email is not foundI checked my account info on arenanet and there it iswhy does it do that?

I went to put in a support ticket, but it defaults to GW2 stuff. while I have that, not immediately at my disposal, kind of moot if I am asking a question about GW1. Right?Thanks if anyone can clear this up.

When creating a Guild Wars account, you use a new/different email address. If you wish to use the same log-in information for both games, you would then link the 2 games, which would change the log-in information in Guild Wars to that of Guild Wars 2.

both these accounts are very oldboth use the same emailI assume they both are linked, because when I click clink accounts, I get the red triangle error?I have played on both of these games in the past, but something has changed. Myst be related to the merge. regardless, I think the steam version had a different way to login. however I cannot be sure

STILL Investigating...So what I've found, is that I must have had a different email account with my gw1, and this one I cannot remember. I sent in a help ticket. but no go there - no response.I think that might be the issue, My gw2 works fine, but cant get on with gw1 due to different email.
