mercury ranique.2170 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 How did you reinstall the game?To make most things covered, please remove the game, download the base client from this website and let it update, it takes time, but together with > @Magimix.5203 said:i already tried to update the win 10 , the gpu drivers and all this things...It should cover most things at your end.
Inculpatus cedo.9234 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Sometimes, GW2 has issue with being installed in 'Program Files'. You can move it to your desktop, or another folder.Good luck.
windbliss.3158 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Correct, oftentimes if Guild Wars 2 is installed in Program Files it not only has interference with Windows itself (as it seems to be real picky with installations that update there), it can cause false positives to appear in certain security software. All that can be mitigated by installing Guild Wars 2 elsewhere, such as the base directory of the drive itself -- using "C:\Guild Wars 2" instead of "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2" (or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2" if you're a 64-bit system). This note also applies for other games, too -- if your other games have trouble, try reinstalling them outside of the Program Files directory.
Nyx.7480 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I'm having the exact same issue. My game played fine two or three weeks ago, now I find when I'm trying to log in I get as far as the character selection screen, with my mouse refusing to interact with anything. The visuals are fine, I just can't click on a different character, on play, on logout, nothing works. I can't even alt-f4, which is amusing.
Anime.2895 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Can i just use the move function to move all of guild wars files to the program filesx86 folder? or do i need to uninstall and reinstall?
Inculpatus cedo.9234 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 You can move the files. Some players have had issues with the game when placing GW2 in 'Program Files'. Best to put it elsewhere.
