Worst possible balance patch scenario?

There are a lot of threads about what need to be addressed already, but let's talk about the opposite - how do you think Anet could break the gamemode even more?

What do you fear might end up in the balance patch next week that is just absolutely wrong? Or what small change could suddenly make something broken?

  • Regeneration now can be stacked in intensity.
  • Scourge's perma cripple not addressed.
  • Path of Corruption now has a 20s ICD, nerfing core and reaper.
  • Confusion changed to do less damage each tick of inactivity. To compensate, we've increased confusion stacks across the board for all classes (mainly mesmer).
  • Jaunt unchanged.
  • Elusive Mind now has 2s ICD.
  • Holosmith buffed. Holo Leap tracks better, heat generated from shockwave reduced and rocket boots grants evade frames (cooldown increased per charge by 5 seconds).
  • Minesweeper untouched.
  • Elementalist no longer gains trait benefits (cleansing water, elemental attunement, superspeed) from double attuning.
  • Elements of Rage power to ferocity conversion nerfed to 10%.
  • Riptide cooldown increased to 15 seconds.
  • Plasma Beam damage lowered by 15%.
  • Nothing done about Weave Self.
  • Druid staff #1 damage buffed.
  • Firebrand base healing values decreased by 20%.
  • Firebrand healing power scaling increased by 53%
  • Revenant sword autoattack damage reduced by 10% to encourage people to use abilities.
  • We've tackled revenant's condi removal issue. Mace skills can now be traited to remove conditions.
  • Shackling Wave damage reduced by 33%.
  • Warrior rifle now does 10% damage on autoattacks.

We fixed the game boys.

More confusion stacks and shorter axe cds on Mirage, more corrupt and torment stacks on Scourge, more heal on Firebrand Tomes, more dmg on Holo dodgeroll, more immunities for spellbreaker, faster celestial avatar for druid.

Also less sword dmg for weaver and remove all stunbreaks from Rev.

"We are aware the community has told us scourge is OP, but internal testing by our QA testers have revealed this to not be the case. We hope these changes will allow our QA team to get out of elo hell as they are currently all stuck in bronze due to bad luck."-Increased radius of sand shades by 10%-NEW SKILL: Sand snipe. Boon corrupts for up to 10 conditions to a target up to 900 away. Instant cast. No animation.-NEW PASSIVE: Rabid mongoose. An AI system has been added to necromancer to detect if a player is randomly spamming skills. Flailing your arms on your keyboard at random is a playstyle we at Anet love to encourage, so this new passive will give necros a 10% buff to all stats when it is successfully proced.

"Mesmers have a low winrate and we don't understand that comparing statistics of bad players and good players as if they were the same thing is a logical fallacy."Confusion: Stacking confusion now returns 3 endurance to the mesmer, 5 if using the mirage spec.

"We are very proud of Firebrand / Holosmith / Druid / Thief and see no need for any changes."

"Our intern informed us that a class known as 'Warrior' exists but we forgot about it during our meetings. We hope this last minute change will please everyone"-Full counter: Reduced damage by 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 %

"Internal testing has revealed a hidden ele build that is extremely overpowered. We aim to nerf this per-empitively before it becomes a serious problem."-Sword auto attack: No longer does any damage when used within 5 seconds of a stance.

"Revenants have an identity crisis between being a well rounded class and a support class. We aim this change to help focus Revenants place in the game."-Unrelenting assault: Reduced damage by 20%, now drops a healing orb for 50 health if each strike hits.

why even joke anymore, I love the pve and truely wanted to like the pvp like I used to, would make gw2 the perfect mmo but they obviously don't care about the pvp community, or community at all considering their silence. I play many MMOs and at least most at least try balance pvp and give regular updates, seems like anet just don't care anymore about their pvp fans and should just drop the game mode out of respect rather than continue to offend people and make more of a joke about it.

No, actually I meant it as a thread for realistic predictions that could happen but shouldn't, because it's satisfying to be right about Anet's next move, especially if the players see what's wrong but Anet doesn't.

But it turned into the usual "scourge now instakills LUL" thread

Don't forget that the animation can't be cancelled at all, the character even keeps on hundred blading when downed or killed. The full animation only takes 46 seconds (with a lot of spins, rolls and purzelbaums) and they worked 6 months with motion capture of normal people, midgets, models and fat people (and fat, hairy people) to get a graceful, yet heroic choreography of death.
